Program

AISW aims to provide a comprehensive and challenging academic program for all children from our international community. Our language of instruction is English. We employ an inquiry-based approach as we teach subject area curricula.  We emphasize collaborative learning using materials and resources created in the United States, as well as several other Western countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. In our first year of operation, class sizes are expected to be small. As the school grows, individual classes will increase to no more than 20 students.

Our teaching faculty of native-English speaking, fully credentialed, talented and experienced educators, comes to AISW primarily from the United States. From grade 1 through grade 5, our typical daily schedule includes language arts, science, math and social studies. Physical education, library, computer, music and art are scheduled throughout the week and are integrated thematically.  For students who are not native English speakers, our ESOL support will help integrate language development within the different content areas.
